Medly for Teachers: More Time for Real Learning
16 October 2026
We know that teachers do much more than share subject knowledge. You're planning lessons, setting homework, marking work and noticing where a student could use a hand. At Medly, we believe technology should make more room for real learning: helping students understand ideas and get curious about a subject. That's why we built Medly for Teachers, to bring the everyday tasks together and make it easier to see where support is needed.
Less time on marking, clearer next steps
You can set homework from our examiner-reviewed question bank or upload resources of your own. When students send their work in, Medly marks it and brings the results together for you.
When the work comes in, you can see scores across the class and take a closer look at individual answers. If a mark doesn't look right, you can change it. We hope this makes it easier to spot a topic worth revisiting or a student who could use a little more support.
Plan lessons and homework together
We wanted lesson planning and setting work to feel connected. You can schedule classes, add resources that suit the way you teach and see your timetable in a calendar. When it's time to set homework, you can do it right from the lesson.
Short on time? Quick Set Homework can turn the specification points in a lesson into an assignment. Have a look, make any changes you need and share it with your class.

Use class insights to focus support
As students complete their work, your home page gives you a snapshot of the class schedule and how students are getting on. We hope it helps you decide what to revisit next and where someone could use a little more support.
These tools are here to support your judgement. They can bring patterns to the surface, and you know the context behind them.

Building on evidence from student learning
At Medly, we believe good tools should be grounded in evidence about how students learn. In an independent randomised controlled trial in GCSE science, students assigned to use Medly Exams for revision scored 22% higher on a post-test than students revising the same topics for the same amount of time using their usual methods. The trial included 644 students who completed both tests. Its researchers also found no evidence that the effect differed by Pupil Premium status. Read more about the trial and its findings.
More space for the work only teachers can do
We built Medly for Teachers to take some of the admin around practice off your plate and give you a clearer view of how students are doing. We hope that gives you more time for the most important things: explaining a difficult idea, encouraging a student who's lost confidence, or helping your class get curious about what comes next.
